Can't switch profiles to answer calls

Graphene locks the possibility to switch profiles while there's an incoming call.

How can I answer calls when I'm in a profile without calls & sms enabled, then?

Hb1hf Yes, you can't switch profiles during a phone call. That's part of how profiles work in upstream AOSP.

You can still answer carrier-based calls in all user profiles, even with SMS and phone calls toggle disabled. There's no way to stop carrier-based calls ringing in that profile specifically.

Disabling SMS and phone calls for that user profile will stop you being able to make carrier-based phone calls from that profile though

I didn't really notice because nothing was shown, I could just hear the ringing, but from what you're saying they must have been Whatsapp calls. I had to wait for them to stop so I could switch profiles.

Hb1hf Ah yes, you won't be able to answer WhatsApp calls ringing in another user profile. You'll have to wait for the ringing to stop, switch to the other profile, then ring them back.

I leave notification forwarding disabled, MySudo call notifications come thru on user profile and I'm able to end session and answer the call from owner profile lock screen.

Hi! Since the thread is a bit older I was wondering if there might be a solution / workaround or alternative to answering phonecalls in your main profile coming from WhatsApp in the second profile?

I have the same symptons as descripts. I hear the phone ringing and i see a notification about a acivity in my 2nd "work" profile but I'm unable to switch to that profile while its ringing, and also unable to answer the actual call.

Also I dont want to install whatsapp in my main profile.

There isn't a workaround, and there is unlikely to be a solution in the future. User profiles are an upstream feature and designed such that you can't interact with apps in one whilst another one is open.
