Hi everyone,
I was hoping that you could help me, because I can't seem to install GrapheneOS on my Google Pixel 6a.
Here's what's happening In detail:
Prerequisites for installing GrapheneOS
2GB of free memory available and 32GB of free storage space → yes
USB Cable → Original Google Pixel 6a
Virtual Machine → No virtual environment
Desktop environment → Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Operating System up-to-date → yes
Browser → Brave
Flatpak or Snap Version → Don’t think so, its release v1.52.130
Browser up-to-date: I guess so, apt doesn’t show any updates
Private browsing→ no
Officially supported device → Yes, Google Pixel 6a
Device Updated → Yes
Carrier Variant → I don’t know exactly, but I can get into fastboot mode and unlock OEM if that’s what this is about
Enabling OEM unlocking
OEM is unlocked. I am surprised though that it doesn’t seem to be neccessary to unlock usb debugging. Is that right?
Flashing as non-root
Is there something specific to do regarding udev rules? I have downloaded android-sdk-platform-tools-common.
Booting into the bootloader interface
By following the instructions, my phone keeps booting into fastboot mode. Is that right? A fastboot devices also recognizes the device adb devices doesn’t.
Connecting the phone
I got KDE.
Unlocking the bootloader
This is where I get the error:
Error: Failed to execute 'open' on 'USBDevice': The device was disconnected.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Kind Regards
George
