Now that aurora store is unreliable, how to backup apps?

If I ever move to a new phone I will lose all of my banking apps. How can I resolve this?

1.) What other trusted app sources are there?
2.) Is it possible to move the actual APK files to a new phone?

For banking, I use Chase. Rather than download the app I just installed it on my home screen from the web page. It functions almost exactly like the app. I do this wherever I can. PayPal, Coinbase are 2 other examples. I'm under the impression that it's more secure in terms of your data the app can scrape since it's restricted to your browser permissions. I could be wrong on that though.

gufum00 no but google is working against it and makes it harder to install apps through it.
The source of the apps is still the same as the playstore.

Only replacement to Aurora I can think of is manually downloading APKs

You could either go through the play store itself, or if you already have an application installed, this stack overflow thread seems to answer this problem: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11012976/how-do-i-get-the-apk-of-an-installed-app-without-root-access

Could make a user with google services, download the app, then grab the APK and transfer it to another user

You can export APKs of apps with an app like Package Manager
