"Device is loading a different OS" during boot - Verified boot is not working?

I had recently loaded the GrapheneOS on my Pixel 6a with the signed factory images. I also locked the fastboot flashing. But the yellow screen appears while the device is booting with the message "Device is loading a different operating system. Does it mean that the Android Verified Boot(AVB) is bypassed? Is the OS getting verified?
