Hi,
I've noticed a strange thing recently.
Namely - using the "record sound" function in the whatsapp application, the application uses the sound from the microphone intended for telephone conversations - the quality of the recorded sound in voice messages is worse than the sound quality in video recordings. So on "voice" recordings the quality is average, while on video recordings the sound quality is very good. When I have my BT headphones connected to my phone and I want to record a "voice message" on WhatsApp, the audio is picked up from the phone's microphone.
In the signal application, the situation is similar, except that only the microphone intended for telephone conversations is used for voice recording; the sound recording is very bad. When I connected the BT headphones to the phone and tried to record a voice message, the audio was picked up from the microphone of the headphones, and after recording the voice message, I heard the message "call ended" in the headphones - this message is usually after the end of the gsm voice call.
Maybe there would be an option for grapheneos to force which microphone should be used by applications and what sound quality should be in the recordings?
