  • Question about using Gmail on Vanadium

As the subject line says, I would like to know if there is any privacy risk if I login to my Gmail account on Vanadium browser? Although, I am not using Google search engine but can Google collect search data if I log into my Gmail account on Vanadium?

The privacy risk comes from the fact that using Gmail on a web browser means being logged to all Google properties on said browser.

As @Titan_M2 says, I would recommend to never log to a big tech account from your main browser if your threat model includes avoiding big tech tracking.

    You should use a third-party e-mail client like K-9 Mail for G-Mail.

SoulKeeper Although, I am not using Google search engine but can Google collect search data

Google cannot collect your local browsing history, however If you use Google search in the said browser; Google will collect data of 'Google search'—and It will also link data of Google search to your account, Unless you sign out (Which will sign you out of all Google properties, not just G-Mail or Google search), use Google search in an incognito tab in the said browser or use Google search in an another browser without signing-in.
