singingfalls Using Linux Mint based on Linux Mint 20.1 Ulyssa base: Ubuntu 20.04. Following instructions for a web install. I've tried switching usb ports and cables. No joy. Any help is greatly appreciated.
treequell singingfalls Hi there, make sure you have booted your Pixel 7 into the bootloader interface: https://grapheneos.org/install/web#booting-into-the-bootloader-interface. If you're still having trouble, I recommend that you join the GrapheneOS chatroom on Matrix, it is easier for members of the GrapheneOS community to help you out with the install there: https://matrix.to/#/#grapheneos:grapheneos.org
basedenjoyer I would recommend using the brave browser and dont forget this part of the instructions : "On Debian and Ubuntu, install the android-sdk-platform-tools-common package." I had no issues this way with Linux Mint..
pdagenius People seem to regularly trip up on Android driver and USBC cable issues. It is a good idea to double check that bit first of all. I also use Linux Mint but didn't use Brave so not sure about that part. I did have issues losing the USB connection during the installation. In the end I reverted to using the CLI method which then worked first time and flawlessly.
singingfalls Hey! Woke up this morning and the install went like a dream. Not sure what I was doing wrong yesterday but as the old Linux saying goes: "If all else fails you have two remaining options. Get a bigger hammer or read the instructions". Thanks for your help and willingness to reply.
treequell Thanks for the feedback, and welcome aboard GrapheneOS! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
