Rather than email, do you get a notification from the Auditor app itself? It should notify you after each attempted attestation to indicate whether it was successful or not. By default that occurs every 4 hours, but you change those preferences from the attestation.app website. Likewise, the default setting is to receive an email if attestation attempts fail over a 20 hour period.

No, remote attestation should still continue after system update, just as before.
