For my job, I still need to use gmail. I have two accounts accessed through gmail, I get notifications for the main (personal) account however the secondary (work) account gets no notifications. I have checked all of the settings and enabled everything that I think should be enabled to receive notifications for the secondary account yet I still do not get notifications. Where should I look?

Thanks in advance.

I don't mind checking my inboxes manually (no G anything on my phone, except a very rare Gmap via Vanadium), but I helped someone wirh a similar issue with Outlook who couldn't afford delayed messages.

Notifications could be received through an alternate client, such as K-9, solely for that purpose. Definitley nor an elegant solution, but it worked.

Use fairemail or k9mail for gmail. You'll need to configure your gmail account to enable IMAP.

I can confirm that FairMail works great with Gmail for sending and receiving email. The apps look and feels great. It has more options than gmail. I like it so much that I wish the proton mail app looked like it.
If you like the FairMail, I suggest getting the pro version to support development.

You can find it on the fdroid, playstore and even on its official github.

I'll just add another vote for Fairmail. It works very well in GOS, and the developer is very active with the app as I sometimes receive multiple updates in a week. It's a great Gmail/FOSS solution.

Sifer You can find it on the fdroid, playstore and even on its official github.

Another FairEmail user here. BTW, it's spelled with "E" before "M" :), anyway.
I think F-Droid version doesn't work with Gmail OAuth and have to download it from GitHub or GPStore.

Oggyo oauth is unnecessary, you can set up per-application complex passwords on your g* account.
