Gallery UI change?

Hi, is there any way to change how the pictures are laid out in the Gallery app, or at least change the default view to filmstrip?

The default grid view is very unintuitive for me, because most recent pictures go down columns and then across, instead of the other way, and filmstrip is somewhat better, but whenever I switch to it, it switches right back next time I open the app.

Also, I didn't tag this with Camera because this is for viewing pictures, but I guess it could be related.

KebusMaximus The default Gallery app on GrapheneOS is the upstream one from AOSP. Unfortunately it is hardly maintained upstream except for security updates because Google focuses resources on their Photos app.

GrapheneOS plans to replace the Gallery app with their own but there's no ETA on that. For the time being, I suggest using a third-party Gallery app. Aves Gallery is a good option, and is available on Google Play Store, Accrescent and Obtainium.

I'd also love to have a "view all" gallery. These large squares representing different folders is less ideal.

I've been using Aves Libre with Collection set as home to remedy this.
