I agree with you, iak, 100%. In a perfect world, the owner of their device should have full control over permissions and not be, pandered to like a child by having choices made for them with the excuse that it's in their best interest. In my mind, if someone renders their device inoperable due to disabling something they ought not, that's their GD prerogative! Most of the people flashing custom OS, have at least a basic understanding of such things, and don't require nor desire mandatory hand-holding. And, should we unintentionally toggle something that causes an issue, we have this forum full of, hopefully, better educated android developers and operators, to offer us useful guidance over time-wasting opinion. I, for one, would love to have some illusion of control in this fully out of control world! Can we please control what permissions we give? Seems like a reasonable request.
