Capitol One app and ADP app not working

I gave all the permissions to the apps listed above. Do I need to give google sandbox permission to get these apps to work

"not working" how? Do they open? Or not open? Cant connect?

When I click on the app it opens the logo. waits and crashes.

Uhhidk Please give us the overall situation so that we can see if there's something else to do.

What I'd like to see:

Provide exact details about what happens with the apps. Do they crash, do they give you an error? If they crash, when do they crash etc. As much detail as possible for both apps.
Links to the apps on Play Store
Is Sandboxed Google Play installed, and if so, was it installed before the apps? Furthermore, what exact permissions do all 3 of the Google apps have?
What permissions have you given the apps which do not work?
Have you tried Exploit protection compatibility mode for these apps? You can find this in Settings > Apps > app name > Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode. If that doesn't work, disable that toggle for these apps again.
Try going to Settings > Security and disabling secure app spawning, then reboot the phone and try again.

If none of these steps work, do provide the information requested above. It might also make sense to consider that these apps may require a Google-certified OS to work, do we know if that's the case? If that turns out to to be the case, the apps can't work on GrapheneOS unless the developers stop doing that, or unless they explicitly support GrapheneOS via https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide.

I don't have this bank app, but with my bank app I had some of the same problems. But when I tried installing it in the second user (I only use owner profile), it worked there. When I tried installing it again in the owner profile it worked.

Thank you for you help kind stranger. I have tired installing the apps multiple times with almost every variety of permissions enabled or disabled. Most not worthy is with every setting in google sandbox and play store and the apps in discussion enabled. I have tried installing the apps with code debugging both off and on.
The app will never load properly but they crash in a bunch of different ways even when settings stay constant.

For Capitol one The typical way they crash is the app will open a single colored blue screen, with the Capitol one logo in the center. Then it will remain there for 10ish seconds. Then the app will crash and return me to my home screen. It will not show up in the open apps view.

The ADP app will crash in a similar way

CapitalOne has always be crap when it comes to custom ROMs in my experience so it's something to be expected.

I access capital one using vanadium, then add the log in screen to the home screen like a web app, works great for me.

For apps that close as soon as you open them, it's generally an indication they're not "compatible" with with the Hardened Malloc. You can go to the app info and turn on" Exploit Protection Compatible Mode" and that should fix it.

I'm using the CapitalOne app right now. Without Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode enabled, it definitely does not work.

StormyWeather That's correct. I assume there's some sort of memory bug or something that's preventing it from launching properly with the hardened malloc. I have ran into few apps that have similar behavior.
