PlayStore couldn't sign in

When I open the play store and I click the green sign in button, I just get an infinite spinning circle and the title "Couldn't sign in".
I have all Google dependencies installed. Clearing cache and storage didn't help. What could be the reason? I'm using a Pixel6.

Billysbulls You should be able to use Google Play Store with a VPN fine. Make sure you've set up Google Play Services correctly, and that your VPN or private DNS is not configured to block connections to the Google Play Store servers.

I can confirm that the Play Store works perfectly fine with a VPN.

Billysbulls Google Play services handles sign-in for all Google apps, Which is why you don't get logged out of Play store even after clearing Play store's app data.
