How to install Revolut app?

Hello,

Sorry if the question sounds stupid, I'm new to GrapheneOS and phones in general.

I'd like to install Revolut app. In order to do that, I scan a QR code which opens Vanadium browser and redirect to a webpage. The thing is, that webpage is blank. So how should I install the app? From Google Play Store? From Aurora? Using the apk directly (I saw a couple of messages suggesting adb commands)?

31671 I have a separate profile with Goolag services enabled for payment apps. Revolut works well therein, installed from Play Store.

Hi.
You can download it from the Aurora Store.
Open Aurora, search for "Revolut", select Revolut app, and tap "Install" at the bottom.
That's it!

So Revolut must be installed from the Play Store or from a computer using adb?

You have to choose where you generally will get your apps from.
Most users almost certainly do not want to use ADB to install apps.
You may use the .apk if it is accessible (GitHub, app's website, ...), from Fdroid (or fdroid frontends like Neostore), Aurora Store, or Google Play Store. For a very limited number of apps, you can also use Accrescent.
Please note that some apps (banking apps especially) verify where they were installed and only accept Play Store.

Short answer: they seem to be deliberately not allowing their app to run on non-Google OS. Nothing you can do, except maybe complain to them.

SOLVED. The current REVOLUT version of in Aurora detects graphenOS and does not let it run, this is a problem I hope the GrapheneOS people fix it because other apps can be updated and stop working in GrapheneOS.

To fix it, you only need to install the previous version 10.52.1

Uninstall the apps.
You install it from Aurora manually, giving it up to the points, and then to manual download, it will ask you for a version code, and you enter the code of the version 10.52.1 (at least this version has worked perfectly in grapheneOS, even without Google Services) the code is 1005304781

Does that mean you were able to sign in successfully using that version, without being notified by the app that it's out of date and then forced to update it?

When I do that, I will not continue past the login screen, without an update. How do you get around that?

Our next release successfully works around their ban on using GrapheneOS.
