Johnnyloans what if users forget that they turned on phone call recording
- When recording, the Dialer says "Recording". They would need to forget then never look at their screen either when placing a call.
- What if they forget that they enabled Developer Options? Should GOS prevent enabling Developer Options?
- What if they forget they enabled special permissions like "full access to all files"? Should GOS remove the toggles for these?
- What if they forget they set a Duress PIN? Should GOS remove that feature?
Treating users like people who can't make decisions is a bad argument, since GOS is not tailored to children or mentally-challenged people.
AOSP Special app permissions like "full access to all files" are much more hidden and easier to forget about than this, yet available.
This is a very common and requested feature, available on other Android forks from Samsung, Xiaomi, crDroid, Oppo, Vivo, etc (haven't tested, just done a quick search).
A good argument is that it's not a high-priority, not that users can't be trusted to make their own choices.
