Using Orbot and Mullvad next to eachother within the same profile

Hi guys!

For most apps I'd like to use TOR, given it's extreme privacy properties. However, for some apps TOR is to slow or unusable. Both Orbot and Mullvad have the option to select certain apps.

Wouldn't it be really awesome if you can use these next to eachother in the same profile? Is it possible this will be developed in the future?

I'd like to use both in the same profile. For instance:

I'd like to use Orbot for almost all apps, except apps like Newpipe that need do download lots of data.

I wonder how difficult it is technically to get this done, because this would be great!

Hi.
While not having such a setup, I do not think it is a technical challenge.
I know Mullvad android's app supports split tunneling and Orbot too. Can't you setup together this two apps with split tunneling ?

AOSP has one VPN slot per profile. Mullvad and Orbot both require access to the VPN slot. So you can only use one at a time in the same profile.

I doubt such a feature would ever be added. Multiple users are provided for use cases like yours.

treequell I understand. I use the multiple users functionality in this way. However, this is not doable for frequently used applications like Newpipe, Fritter, Aurora, Protonmail, Innertune etc.

These are apps that have compatibility and/or speed issues through TOR.

Right now the only solution seems to run them through Mullvad in a work profile.
