User2288 the "clear data" option is under the privacy section and a bit out of reach. Having an immediate menu item in the main menu that can purge all cache quickly without having to navigate to the sub menus would be very useful. I use this feature all the time.
This is where the option is located in Chromium, as far as I know, so it is unlikely that it will be changed downstream. Perhaps using incognito mode as the default is better suited for your use case?
User2288 there is no option to clear all browsing data "on exit". Even if there was, there is no " exit / close" button. Does the application actually "terminate" when you hit the back button?
As per https://grapheneos.org/usage#web-browsing:
Vanadium was previously primarily focused on security hardening but we plan on adding assorted privacy and usability features. In the near future, we plan to add support for always incognito mode, content filtering (ad blocking, etc.), improved state partitioning, backup/restore and many other features.
For the time being, incognito mode can be used. If you want an easy way to launch incognito mode from your homescreen, you can follow these steps:
- Long-press Vanadium on your homescreen
- Notice the ingonito window option, long-press that
- Drag it to another place on your homescreen
- You now have an easy-to-access Incognito mode shortcut that you can use
User2288 Also, what is the default behaviour of webRTC in vanadium? Do i need to change this to prevent ip leaking?
The default WebRTC option in Vanadium is set to "Disable non-proxied UDP", which I believe is the most private of the available options, I don't think you have to worry about IP leaks with that setting, though I'm happy to be corrected on that.
