My phone is set to vibrate-only because I am unwilling to inconvenience others by blasting ringtones into conversations, weddings, commencement ceremonies, treaty signings, etc. The sole exception is the alarm clock, which I set to go off only at limited times.
Unfortunately, an incoming voice call causes my phone to vibrate only while the call is "ringing"; if I miss it, there will be no later vibrations. Likewise, an incoming text message vibrates twice briefly and that's it. I am looking for FOSS apps which would:
- Allow me to specify a general pattern of repeating vibrations, e.g., if there is a pending notification of a type that originally resulted in vibration, do it again every 3 minutes for up to 15 minutes.
- Allow me to specify specific reactions for particular alerts, such as a Morse-code alert for text messages from specific people.
I am looking for apps I can build from source, that target a fairly modern API level, and ideally that use modern frameworks and libraries.
Suggestions are welcome!
