GOS Forum as a PWA?

[deleted] This discussion forum runs on Flarum. To add PWA support to the discussion forum would require adding a Flarum extension. From what I understand, the developers of GrapheneOS are very reluctant to add any extensions to this discussion forum.

Adding just one more extension for PWA support can't be that bad, right?

As with all feature requests, please provide some context as to why this feature is important.

Lukas This would be a low priority. There are more important (and critical) things to work on.

Not sure when this change happened, but I think that the GOS discussion forums is working as a PWA now in 2026.

Refresher on how:

Open a normal tab in Vanadium or browser of choice (NOT an incognito tab)
Navigate to the GOS forums
Tap 3x dots on top right
Select "Add to home screen"
Install

zzz yep, thats how I have it set up for me. Opens as a PWA every time

Yes its working perfectly and is very convenient. I have been using it as PWA for several years.

Most browsers can do this automatically you don't need to make a request out of it.
