Signal ghost notifications

I have noticed in my owner profile there is often notifications for Signal in a second profile. But when I open the app there isn't any new message. No google play services in those profiles. There is something I can do to stop this ?

I'm assuming you mean the cross profile notifications that say that you have a notification from Signal and a button to switch to the other profile?

I don't think there is a way for that notification to know whether you've seen the message. It just knows that a notification was generated in the other profile. if you don't dismiss it, it makes sense for it to stay there.

Yes exactly.
I don't really receive much messages on Signal, and this happen randomly. I can't reproduce intentionally this behavior.

I got it back now, maybe it's due to VPN disconnection.

I'm surprised that nobody have reported this.
I think those very frequent notifications are due to 2 particular notifications :

Signal is unlock
Background connection enabled

I can toggle off those notifications but, they are useful to know the app state.
And the second one is enabled all the time, that why anytime I switch to the main profile GOS push "Notification from Signal for user...".
