Apps updating without prompt from aurora store

Normally when we update apps from fdroid or any other third party app store, a prompt from android is asking whether to update the app or not.

In my case aurora store is working with storage scopes enabled and apps are updated without a prompt from android, is this a intended design of android or a bug.?

Please note I am using 7 pro with the latest build of GOS.

As Designed. Aurora is utilizing this Android feature but Fdroid apparently decided not to. I'm sure others can elaborate.
