Newpipe won't play the downloaded videos

Hello. I use newpipe. I have downloaded a few videos.
In newpipe when I go to downloads and then click on a video I get 'no app installed to play this file'.

I have vlc installed and other video players.

This used to work and play the videos from the app.

Does anyone know how to fix it so it plays in the newpipe app?

I have tried to change the defaults within the app but can't seem to get it to work. Within settings > video and audio you can select 'use external player' but unfortunately this doesn't change anything.

It is fixed in the new release. So either you wait to get it available in the Fdroid repo or download from their Fdroid repo or github.

You can play the videos with VLC by clicking the downloaded video in the File Browser app. This is what I do while waiting for the Fdroid repo to be updated.
