You don't like the articles folks are posting that deal with metadata issues in more detail, fair enough.
But to assist everyone on their privacy journeys, its worth considering this quote directly from a surveillance bossman himself:

People are routinely killed based on metadata.
Its a complex topic and warrants an extended discussion elsewhere.
But for the purposes of this thread, its safe to say that metadata matters to very serious people within the surveillance apparatus, and therefore might matter to folks who care about surveillance. Prospective WhatsApp users should consider that aspect seriously.
