Is there any way to get the now playing feature to work on pixel 7?
(Given that song recognition happens offline on the phone it might be outside my threat model.)

Now Playing requires deep OS integration, so I don't think it's something that could be implemented via Sandboxed Google Play. Even if it could, it currently isn't, I'm afraid.

I been meaning to post it here to see if GoS team or anyone More technical would be able to help bake this and better. As the current implementation can be a bit janky at times, but I don't see why this couldn't very easily be ported And baked in, just like we did with the camera app recently.; Plus, if I'm not mistaken, would the latest updates to the camera app not improve on this app tremendously??
