Bank of America Prepaid Mobile App - frozen on 1st initialization screen

Hi all,

I have installed this app using Aurora Store on a non-Owner profile:
"BofA Prepaid Mobile"

The app will run, but it stays stuck on a red initialization screen with a circular spinning icon and a BoA logo. Every few seconds, the screen flashes red, but stays stuck on the initialization screen.

I have also tried running the app with "Exploit protection compatibility mode" enabled via Settings -> Apps -> All Apps -> BofA Prepaid, but it did not change anything.

It's also worth noting that other banking / financial apps work quite well on this exact same profile, installed the same way through Aurora Store - including an app from a little podunk credit union, E*trade, Venmo, and Paypal.

Any help / tips for getting this BoA prepaid app to play nice like all the rest?

Do you have Sandboxed Google Play installed?

I tried this on 2 different profiles, one with Sandboxed Google Play, and one without.

With: app passes the loading screen and gets to the login.
Without: app is stuck on the red background with the loading screen and doesn't progress.

That seems to be the key difference there. Uninstall the app, install Sandboxed Google Play as per this guide, and install the app again:

zzz Glad we got it figured out. if you haven't already, I highly suggest disabling the exploit protection compatibility mode toggle for the app if you haven't already, no need if the app doesn't have a memory corruption bug.

I was going to suggest to disable hardening settings for the app. That was the cause of Wells Fargo app not loading for me, the one and only app that didn't like GOS.

Anyone willing to try the main Bank of America app? I'm thinking of getting the Pixel 7a and this would be a key app for me. Looks like citibank isn't listed either. But Wells Fargo and Chase are. So 2 of top 4 banks.

Yes, it is hilarious how both Wells Fargo and Bank of America apps do not support GOS hardening... You'd think they would be the ones more likely to support such measures, but instead they don't...
