Going full screen stops gesture multitasking

Hello, my problem has been present for several weeks on my pixel 5, when I pass for example a video in full screen, it is then impossible for me to use the multitasking gesture (swipe up).
Swiping it to the side to make a comeback still works though.
To fix the issue I have to go to settings then go to grapheneos launcher and force quit.
After force quitting, I can use swipe up again.
I tried changing the launcher, but the problem persists, so I don't know what to do.
Is it a permissions issue or a screen rotation setting issue?

McSeam whenever you are in full screen mode

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen or down from top of the screen,
You'll then see the notification bar at the top of the screen and the white pill at the bottom of the screen,
Swipe up and hold from the white pill to show the app switcher.

Note that if you're in landscape in full screen, for example when watching a video, you'll need to swipe from the long edge of the screen, where you'll see the white pill appear too.
