Locator necklace for a cat.

Is there any necklace that works with a cat daily use, locating when needed in a city and GrapheneOS?

When first time reading the title, I thought it's one more spam post, while reading your question, I thought that's rather a question for my Home Assistant forum, until I understood what you want. So much for the funny part. 😹

I think you could use a normal necklace for your cat and buy a normal, small, privacy friendly "find my" Bluetooth pendant and attach it to the necklace. I don't think that GOS supports "find my" stuff natively, but via the pendant's app.
I was looking on F-Droid, but found nothing for the moment. There is an app called "BLE radar", but I think this app isn't for remote tracking. Maybe there are others, elsewhere.

Also answering this because I love cats.

Thanks for your suggestions folks. Today I picked up a Linocell Item Tracker, which claims to be compatible with FindHub. If I can make it work with Sandboxed Google Play, and if the range will cover my cat, will take some testing..

From what I've been reading, Samsung tags are the next best thing to Apple AirTags - but they require a Samsung Galaxy phone to use them 🤦🏻‍♂ Every other tag that works with Android seems to be Bluetooth only.

I have not used this app, and have no idea how safe it is to use, but uTag was what I found that apparently makes Samsung tags work on any Android phone. It appears to download and install SmartThings and modify it to allow it to run on any phone, not just a Samsung. It does require a Samsung account, so theoretically Samsung could try ways to kill usage of this app and / or potentially try to detect this and start banning accounts.
