GrapheneOS GrapheneOS version 2026100200 released: https://grapheneos.org/releases#2026100200 See the linked release notes for a summary of the improvements over the previous release.
GOSRocks Wooohoo, thanks!!! Can't wait for it to reach stable so I'm switching to the alpha channel on my daily driver 9a. Fingers crossed!! :)
abednego All fine here, as usual, Pixel Tablet. May I ask where is the new kernel 6.18 being used? I know 6.1 is used on hardware, 6.6 on VMs, and 6.12 on QEMU.
Pocketstar 2026100201 is working great for the P6a, P7, Pixel Tablet and P9Pxl. I haven't tried Play Services nor cellular. That was an amazingly swift kernel memory fix like @Novaliss said, thank you! Google is undoubtedly looking into the upstream code in order to implement the fix. I wish they're a bit more supportive towards GrapheneOS themselves when it comes to the Pixel sources.
GoSaM Running alpha security preview now on P9PF daily driver, will report issues as usually (benchmark is none) 😘
GrapheneOS abednego 6.18 is used on the upcoming Motorola device. Android has fallen far behind the upstream LTS revisions for the GKI and GKI LTS kernel branches so we're in the process of handling merging the latest releases ourselves. It isn't clear what the best and most sustainable approach to this would be. We eventually want to get rid of GKI and replace it with a shim GKI not providing a frozen ABI.
WelcomeMilk89 Noob question, but are these updates automatic, or do I need to manually make the update somewhere?
MSR WelcomeMilk89 Its all automaticly, its in beta at the moment. depending on which update channel you have enabled (default=stable), it will automaticly updated
970261 WelcomeMilk89 Usually releases are first released to alpha channel (opt-in ). If all is good it'll then go to stable (default/main channel) automatically in a few days.
becomeparmesan MSR to add on this, you can change the channel in settings, system update. Did it just for this update and set it to stable again.
