1st, I'd try this:
Settings > Security > exploit protection > USB-C port
Set it to off then charging only (or any other setting you desire)
2) lightly push in the left side of the cable, careful to pause if it starts to charge. then repeat pushing in the right side. Watch to see if it charges. (if it does, perform step #4 some time)
3) flip over the cable and try #2 again
4) Clean the USB port with the phone off, careful to only scrape towards the deep end or outter walls of the port and dragging dirt out. No orthogonal scraping, with your tool, against the center chip of the USB port.
