  • *#06# giving different IMEI from Settings --> About

For two different devices running GOS (P6 & P6a), dialing *#06# returns different results than what is listed in Settings --> About.

Since I do not own a stock-android device and so am unable to check for myself, I've posted to reddit asking if other Android users have different IMEIs listed when dialing *#06#. Several responses say that their results match what is listed in Settings.

So, for clarity, I'm curious if GOS changes something here regarding imeis - or, if not, perhaps someone knows what's going on with this situation.

I'm wondering if it's possible one is returning the IEMI for the physical SIM slot, and the other is the IEMI for E-SIM?

    [deleted] well, for instance, in Settings I can see the imeis for both pSIM and eSIM. Dialing *#06# shows this. The HEX value is only 14 digits in total, where the first 12 13 match correctly to both imeis listed in Settings.
