How to suppress google play services error?

I have a banking app that persistently trying to get a "telephone" permission on Google Play Services.

Each time I open the app, I get the notification:
"Google Play services error. Tap to finish setup in <bankname>"

It says when clicked:

This app won't work properly unless you allow Google Play services request to access the following:
- Telephone

To continue, open Settings,  then Permissions, and allow listed items.

I always deny it and it works perfectly fine without it.

However it's very annoying, because I get the notification and error mark every single time. Is it possible to suppress somehow, so it's ignored on all following app launches?

Is this a notification from the bank app or from Play Services and is it a regular notification shown in the status bar pulldown menu? Then you can simply block/disallow this notification.

It's a notification from Google Play Services each time I open the banking app in the status bar. Unlike usual app-based notifications there is no option like "don't show again".

GoodCatHappyCat You can disable notifications for the Google Play services, as well as permissions.
You can go to GPs settings from the GrapheneOS App Store.

And long-pressing this notification, then the gear and completely disabling this notification in the upcoming menu?

And the setting is even app-specific, so while the error is from Google Play Services, it's only muted for the bank app.
