Google pixel cant set up Esim

Hello every1

I have searced all over internet to try find a soultion for this problem, it keep saying "The sim is being used on other service, to fix issue, contact your oprator"

The Esim is clearly not in use and its brand new, ppl say there is a bug on all pixel 9 and 9a, have anyone found a way around this? I hace tryed to do i manuel and by QR code nothing is working

So would love some help pls

I don’t have an eSIM on my GOS Pixel 8, but had issues installing one on a LineageOS Pixel 5. What eventually worked was installing the Sim Manager apk from apkmirror.com/. Once installed I could click on Add SIM and the phone would read the eSIM QR code and do the install.

This isn't Development -- no one is talking programming languages in this discussion.

I would tag the phone you have instead of several.

With your carrier's app or contact your carrier -> request a new esim

Ask them if it is provisioned correctly to add to the phone because you were having some issues. I would scan the QR code to get it added. Easy that way.

Sodapop Exactly which Pixel device is this happening on? Which build of GrapheneOS? Which carrier? What is the exact text of the error message?

Johnnyloans my carrier says it a know bug on this pixel 9A and they dont know a soultion for it, i have loaded the esim on to a pixel 10 and it was working no problem ( the same esim as i tryed on the 9A)

There must be some others who had the same problem as me, trying ti load a esim on a pixel 9A

Its a new bug because i have esim running on this phone i writeing from and its working fine but it was made long time ago

So its some new bug that has happend to rhe lastest update it think

Sorry to hear that.
Might be specific to your carrier, not sure. (Pixel 9a issue with them)

If your carrier claims that Pixel 9 and 9a devices reject their eSIMs with "The sim is being used on other service, to fix issue, contact your operator", that sounds unlikely, but it could be true. However, this description does not match any description I have seen of eSIM issues with 9-series and 10-series devices.

Obviously I don't know everything! So if this is a "known bug" in the sense that people other than this carrier know about it, perhaps the carrier can share links to public posts about this problem affecting eSIMs. If the carrier is aware that it is a "known bug" with their eSIMs and not anybody else's, I doubt anybody on this forum can help with that.

I had the same problem when I tried to download the cape.co esim onto my 9a it said that I did not have a esim slot avail but I really did. Now I'm considering getting the 10a and doing it that way maybe I'll have better luck.
