Casting

Hi,
Can anyone help me?
I am trying to cast from my Pixel 6 (GrapheneOS), MovieBoxPro (APK) to my television. But the Pixel does not recognize any nearby devices. The only button I CAN'T check on the APK, is the cast button.
When I go to my connected devices it says 'not connected'.
While my wife with her (preliminary still Huawei:-), can cast to the television without any problem.
Both television and Pixel are on the same wifi network. i have tried all kinds of things, but i do not find.

The only way that I'm aware of to cast from GrapheneOS is via VLC media player, which implements cast without depending on gservices. I'm not sure if gservices being installed would make cast work or not, since I don't use gservices.

Hi, The GrapheneOS community on Twitter gave me the easy solution. You just need to install Play Services earlier before installing the APK. So I created a 'new user' - 'Installed the Play Services and give the right to connect devices' - 'APK MovieBoxPro'. And works perfect.

Well, my go-to is BubbleUPnP for local/network content. I'm guessing this "MovieBoxPro" relies on the proprietary Google system Cast implementation to function, so that won't work at all. Maybe this app allows you to share content to other players like BubbleUPnP?
