The best way to protect yourself is have a countdown timer you set the time before you leave the plane. If your not stopped just turn it off before your time is up and it wipes the phone. If you are stopped, well the time they waste talking to you, your phone will be wiped. They can't get you for wiping since you had a timer going before you were stopped.

chinook you can call it whatever you want. I’ve timed myself and can be fully recovered from a factory reset in less than 15 minutes. That’s with about 25 user apps being downloaded and restored.

Problem = no reliable system-level backup solution. I proposed my solution for this. I even recognized the need for a reliable system-level backup, just because you don’t like my “not even a workaround” doesn’t mean it doesn’t work very reliably and efficiently for others.

Duress password does not mix at all with Police, national security, border agencies or customs, etc. There are severe repercussions if you try.
Don't blame GrapheneOS when you use it and it all goes pear shaped. Being sat in a cell awaiting an outcome is too late to reflect on whether it was a good idea at the time.
