Since the update to this version, Vanadium doesn't load any page anymore. Other browsers like Brave and IronFox work.

Themble the crash was caused by the javaless rendering that was introduced in the last Vanadium update AFAIK. It has been temporarily disabled for now until the OS handles original-package IDs properly. You probably have a device with a long GrapheneOS service life, correct? Vanadium config 192 released a couple of hours ago fixed it:

And my tip of the day, for those curious for the latest.

In your GrapheneOS App Store: 3dot menu > Show all packages

Now you'll see every installed app, as well as the ones not installed but availiable for your device, and you see which Release channel each and every app is set to receive. It is sometimes overlooked that the 'sub-projects', config files etc, each have their own channel setting.

Just found a hint to enable a permanent website dark mode, now Vanadium is on the way to replace Firefox on my Pixel. I like Vanadium more and more.

Kamika242 Yeees. But be adviced: some flags will soft-brick Vanadium if toggled, so backup your Bookmarks, and consider tinkering Vanadium in Private space, since you'll may have to reset it.

I didn't use Vanadium regularly so far, so I still have no bookmarks there. I'm just grappling with Floccus to get rid of a possible loss of bookmarks, if something unforeseen would happen.

The dark mode option is the only one I've toggled, ich don't think this would brick Vanadium or would make security issues and if, there are a lot of alternative browsers. A browser should match my flavour in optics and usability and I can't stand glaring white backgrounds on websites, it hurts my eyes, it hurts the OLED screen and it hurts the battery.

'Darken websites checkbox in themes setting'. Which gives the dark theming as well.

I totally get the discomfort of white pages, I've always done something to mitigate it. 😉

Yesss, that's what I've really been looking for, as every Chromium based browser offers this option. Saw this option already in flags, but didn't want to touch it.
