Educate Me - Arlo Camera Alerts

Have Graphene installed for a week or so, blown away and already a huge advocate. I like the flexibility of Google play and ability to get the apps I want. The only app I want notifications on is my Arlo Security app. If it were not for that app I would turn off network permissions for Google play services. How should I manage this? Should I install this app on a different profile and can I have alerts sent to main profile? Thanks!

If you need FCM and don't want to give it internet permissions, then yes you would need to run it on another profile. However I personally am not sure about the logistics of getting to profiles to run at once, or how to tell your phone to do that on startup.

If you need notifications only for one app, you can bypass using google play altogether. But you need to do a fresh install without google play services (get the app from Aurora store) and give app unrestricted battery use. If it has push notifications outside of Google Cloud Messaging implemented, you should get notifications just the same. Have a go, there's nothing to lose (only gain freedom from Google).
