I have WhatsApp installed on second user profile with Google Playstore and Google Play Services on my pixel 9.
For WhatsApp I make use off contact scopes with a select amount of contacts.
After one of the latest GOS android 17 updates I can add new contacts through App info contact scopes, but they don't appear in WhatsApp contact list for a new chat.
I also can't add new contacts through WhatsApp, it results in crash error with option to close the app or wait.
A new contact must send me first a chat in WhatsApp, to make chatting possible. The new contact only appears with the phonenumber now an I can't add it as new contact because of crash error even if I added them through contactscopes.
I don't use WhatsApp very often because Molly is my main chat app, but not everybody is on Signal. So I can manage my needs, but maybe someone has a solution or same problem.
