Cross-platform triggered ads related to conversations topics?

I've noticed several times that details from conversations between my wife and I (both of us using Graphene) have reappeared on YouTube. For example, one day we talked about a dish like Spanish paella, and what happens next is that YouTube adds that dish as a suggestion. This has happened with several things.

I should add that we both have several regular apps installed like Facebook, WhatsApp, and others, but weren't those apps supposed to be isolated?

Are you talking about Spanish food on gmail or Facebook messenger or something?

Xxxr It's basic knowledge that the apps you use steal your data and sell it to brokers and other big companies that give you ads based on that data, what does that have to do with GrapheneOS? Your OS doesn't control what whatsapp/facebook does😂

Edit: If you want to have privacy for chatting use signal, simpleX, or even session. I don't know what you expect your OS to do if you don't use privacy-respecting apps.

If you are talking thorough whatsapp, then grapheneos can't do anything about it.

Xxxr Are you 100% sure that none of you searched it and that nobody in your circle has that same interest? Could somebody predict it based on the digital footprint of you and your friends?

Or, you saw an ad or article about this food, didn't fully realize it, talked about it later, see a 2nd ad later for the same thing
