Hey Gang...

As I am sure it is well known, Verizon's build of Google's Pixel phone firmware prevents OEM unlocking. I really want to use GrapheneOS, which apparently I can only do using an unlocked phone bought directly from Google.
Everywhere I look is "NO", it can't be done. Has ANYONE found a workaround for this?

ninzombie75 if it gets bricked, Google may replace the motherboard. Not sure exactly how that'd go, but just a speculation.

Verizon won't even OEM unlock the device even though it is paid for on the grounds of "network and device integrity".

Funny, Google's version of Android has 1000x less integrity than Graphene!

Google maintains the operating system and developed its hardware, not Verizon.

There is no method to do OEM unlocking and there most likely won't be one. You cannot use GrapheneOS on the device.

Isn't it required that they unlock if after agreed to plan ended? Are they just constantly breaking the law?

No. Existing US requlation only applies to carrier lock, not OEM lock.

The bootloader (including OEM unlocking) is implemented by Google. Google hosts the database saying which devices are can be OEM unlocked.
