Hi, I'm interested in switching to GrapheneOS. I do have some concerns with what I use on a day to day basis though and if it will work, and if there are any fixes to continue using some of these apps or services if possible. My banking app I dont mind letting go of as I can use the web portal and get emails for notifications about my banking.
Will my eSIM still work and still be activated if I switch to GOS? My carrier has a window to where I cannot redownload (and maybe reactivate, they are very vague) my eSIM within 6 months of downloading it, which can be an issue if I want to switch back to stock android.
Will my food apps (McDonalds, Burger King, Chick-Fil-A) continue to work as normal on GOS? (Even with sandboxed play services?) I order somewhat frequently and earn points, and I sort of dont want to give that up.
Will TextNow work? I use it to hide my actual phone number sometimes, I use it pretty much every day and I cannot go without it. If its not possible to use (or any alternatives) then I will not use GOS. (I will not use Google Voice.)
Does TikTok, Discord, and the Reddit App work properly? Some of my friends can ONLY be contacted through these apps, and I cant use them, GOS will also be a no for me, sadly.
I've been really wanting to switch just to have more control over my phone. I appreciate anyone helping and answering my questions!
