Phone is painfully slow

On Google Pixel 7, GrapheneOS (2026062800 build).
Phone is being extremely slow. From installing 200MB apps for 10 mins to battery life worse than stock OS.
Even without Google Play Services (from App Store, not MicroG) phone stays same. It's also always warm (around ₄₀ celsius).

euiccpixel has it always been like this? How much storage is in use? Full (or near full) storage will greatly decrease performance

euiccpixel exactly what is slow? I know you mentioned installing apps takes awhile. Are you connected to a good internet source? Are lots of different apps slow to respond? Is the phone UI laggy (home button slow, back button slow, etc.)?

Apps can take 10 seconds to 2 minutes to install. The phone compiles all of the code that isn't yet compiled yet.
It's part of the security.

I just took my case off to feel my phone and it's pretty warm. It'll get much hitter while charging, out in the sun.

Developer-Dude i have a good source of internet (stable, proxied or not - same) and app i was installing was a bank app
so whole phone was slow: opening apps would take a 3 seconds (basic ones, like settings), sometimes would just heat up to 45 C just idle or playing yt (trough libretube) & music.
i know it sounds pretty much undescribed but basically just saying that phone was unusable and it worked fine before some update && on different ROMs (like lineage or even stock)

Johnnyloans the problem is that it's always heated up, i have mine always without any cases and it just heats up like crazy.
also had same issue on google pixel 8 just awhile ago but i couldn't write about it

Then it's likely something you do setup-wise on both these devices. Try disable Ayugram and reboot. Is it the same? Try the same with other demanding apps.
