Hello everyone,
I’m travelling to mainland China for about 10–12 days in late August/early September 2026.
I use a Pixel with GrapheneOS and have enabled eSIM support.

I need a travel eSIM that works reliably on GrapheneOS and preferably uses home routing / roaming so that Gmail, Google services, Signal and Telegram remain reachable without relying on a VPN.

Have any users recently tested specific eSIM providers in mainland China with GrapheneOS? I’m looking for practical reports, not general recommendations.

Sup for China recommend Voidmob, they have CN eSIMs that route through UK or SG. So your IP appears outside CN bypassing great China firewall, worked for me since it passes DPI checkers. They also have vless xray mobile proxies, but it might be an overkill for your travel.

I had some serious issues using Alipay and Wechat on GrapheneOS. My experience was entirely unusable. I hope your experience is better.

The prepaid credit never expires, and you can use this eSIM for mobile data in almost all countries. In China it operates in roaming mode, so you won’t be restricted by the Great Firewall and can access all services and messengers.

joeshmo Alipay was fine on my pixel 7 pro but you have to do every ID verification before. On WeChat, I could only send messages, the miniapps didn't work.
