Android 17 Update breaks DisplayLink

Hello all, I've been using DisplayLink to enable an external monitor for my GOS device and the Android 17 update prevents it from connecting. It seems to be an issue with the screen record feature or MediaProjection API. No GPS installed on this device.

This function is also broken on a de-googled vanillaOS Pixel so I am unsure if it is related to GPS.

Has anyone had success in overcoming this issue? Is there a way to revert to GOS Android 16 without wiping the device?

That is not possible (if it were, then an attacker could revert to an OS version with an exploitable bug).

Update: this appears to be a GOS specific issue--I have gotten DisplayLink working on my P9P running Android 17. I tried running DisplayLink on my GOS P7 (tablet) with google play services enabled and disabled and it will not share the screen with DisplayLink. Any solutions? This was working with Android 16.
