Graphene OS died after update. No notifications between profiles after restore

What's going on with Graphene OS? Today my phone died after an update – it just turned off and couldn't boot up, only recovery mode worked. Okay, I reset everything to factory settings, started the system again, updated. And now I don't have notifications between profiles. So what's the point of Graphene OS then, if there are no notifications? Also the SIM card doesn't work on Graphene OS.

What do you mean by notifications between profiles ?

Sim cards are working like a charm on grapheneOS. Some users reported issues with eSIMs but it's a google related issue.

I saw I think it was on an update announcement thread someone mentioning they can't get notifications from other profiles. Maybe this happens if you're on WiFi?

So what's the point of Graphene OS then, if there are no notifications?

I think most people would be happy with the owner profile + private space. Another user account adds more complexity and possible issues. There are more uses for GOS other than having multiple user accounts.

P9PXL here. Only use wifi, 4 profiles incldg owner solely for admin use, and owner is my daiky driver. With other 2 profiles running in the background, i am receiving alert notifications from my communication profile when i am on foreground owner profile.
This is when not using VPN with or without killswitch on the running background profiles.

grafuser Are you in a position to indicate which carrier's SIM is trouble? It is a physical SIM?

I know it's not much help but on my Pixel 7 the cross profile notifications are working perfectly fine no matter what profile I'm on.

Physical SIM – nothing happens when pressing button. There are no notifications from profiles even without VPN. Notifications working yesterday before last update. Yesterday the SIM was detected, but the "turn on SIM" button wasn't working – now the SIM manager isn't functioning at all, and the button is unclickable. My phone with GrapheneOS is useless to me right now – I can't make or receive calls, and I can't use profiles without notifications. It's like stock Android, only worse – no SIM. I have to use a second phone with Lineage OS just to receive calls.

I've enabled the beta release for updates and hope it will be fixed soon. Otherwise, GrapheneOS will be a useless phone.
