Connecting to Windows 10 bootloader issues Pixel Pro 7

So I'm new to all of this, lets just start there. Trying this with a brand new Pixel Pro 7.

I downloaded the driver to connect to the bootloader successfully.

I connect to the bootloader perfectly and I can see the phone is connected through chrome://inspect/#devices.

The problem is when I restart the phone in Fastboot Mode, the phone obviously disconnects during the process. In Fastboot Mode the phone is no longer showing as connected and I don't know how to reconnect it.

What am I doing wrong? I'm sure I might not be giving enough info for someone to advise me forward. Maybe a YT vid or something to get me in the correct direction?

lostinlove Reboot into the bootloader interface first. Then connect the phone to your PC after that.

To add to the OP, when I disconnect or power off the phone, I can hear the Windows bell notif indicating it's disconnecting. So I know for sure it is connecting.
