Getting invalid configuration for Orbot

Hi All
I recently installed Graphene os and Orbot.
Worked fine for a month or so but now getting invalid configuration on all profiles except the owner profile. Done all the usual things - clear cache, uninstall, restart phone a number of times, deleted app data, tried to change settings fed logs into chat gpt etc but sill can’t get it working.
I recently changed the names of a number of user profiles and of course Graphene has had an update recently.
Anyone else had any issues?

Scooter Orbot appears to be broken with Android 17 due to issues with the app they need to fix. It's important for developers to test on the preview releases of Android at least if they depend on unofficially supported APIs.

can we use a previous version of android on our pixel graphen os to be free to use orbot on profile ? Why Orbot working on owner profile but not on all other profile ? Do you have a solution to fix that ? Or maybe an alternative ?

bababa It's an issue with their app on Android 17 due to it not being well maintained.

The Tor VPN app is officially labeled as beta by the Tor Project itself. Why recommend it as a replacement when it's not stable yet? Orbot at least has a track record, even if it's currently broken on Android 17.

Yes Tor VPN is in Beta and not to be trusted ( Tor Project). So it is an unusual stance to advising its use.
Tor VPN prevented my phone to auto reboot. When removed phone auto rebooted as requested.

nullnullnix nullnullnix DeletedUser873 Orbot has severe known issues and those certainly aren't limited to an incompatibility with Android 17. The compatibility issue is a symptom of the overall state of the project. Tor VPN exists because Orbot isn't good enough. Tor warning against relying on it in critical situations doesn't mean anyone should use Orbot in that situation instead.

DeletedUser873 An app wouldn't prevent the locked device auto-reboot timer from triggering.

In work profile you must change socks port, http port (Orbot Settings/Debug).
You shouldn't use the same ports in owner profile and work profile.

This setup works on Android 17.
