Wrong PIN after latest update

Hello,

I just installed the newest update for Pixel 10 Pro XL and after the reboot it say my PIN is wrong. This is the same PIN I have used since since i installed the OS and I am up to 15 min lockout because of "wrong" attempts.

Is there anything I can do here or do I just have to factory reset and lose all my data?

Any help is much appreciated

Quantum I tried sideloading the 2026062300 but I managed to get the 2026062301 release and I can't get the signed image for that so the sideloading fails. I have tried everything else, several hard resets, slow PIN input method and I verified the the inputs from the keyboard.

Am at a loss for what to do at the moment

Yes, they're available. They're not currently listed on the releases page to avoid cluttering it and having to explain the difference there. They're the same URLs as the regular releases with the build number incremented by 1 so it's easy to get the URLs for downloads if you want them.

I got the 2026062301 OTA image and sideloaded that, however it still has the issue so I guess I am screwed.

vetle As a last-ditch option before factory reset, perhaps write the PIN down on a piece of paper and ask somebody else to enter it.

I see a post like this once every few updates... and it seems to be an ongoing super rare bug that affects some people.
Makes me really scared one day it'll happen to me

Norman take regular backups so the consequences aren't as bad if this or anything happens to your phone.

@de0u @somepixel @DeletedUser1006 @Norman @Quantum Sideloading 2026062301 worked! I guess it just took some time? I am not sure, when the 90 min timer expired I gave it one more hard reset and it worked. Doing full backup as we speak haha.

I just use cloud first services and then also take local backups per app to a folder. Then that can be copied to an ssd or another cloud file service.

Signal automated saves to folder in files as well as free cloud automatically
Tasks app is cloud first so mirrored to my server and devices. I don't take backups besides the backup of my server. I don't care much about losing
Ente photos I self host. Syncs to server, phone, pc and then I take backups of server. If you use their host they have multiple copies but you still want backups in case you lose access
Bitwarden local manual backups to a folder on pixel, then copied to cloud and harddrive. Most likely will never need because it's cloud.
notesnook is saved in cloud automatically and it has automated local backups
journal and habits app are local only so there's manual saves to files and then that can be sent to cloud storage or local SSD/hdd
I backup my Obtainium configuration to cloud storage and local so I can easily import apps again
