Pocketstar im on 2026062201. Yes i am referring to that notification and on an Apricorn USB where i left it running for over an hour, the notification remained. I also tested moment ago using an ordinary USB and all works fine (copy/paste/delete). However the notification was showing copying 100% where i have already deleted the copied file thereafter. The notification was gone only after i switched to another profile and switched back to the subject profile.

Upgraded my P9A.I use banking applications on a secondary profile with GMS.There was a workaround in the earlier versions to enable cellular data (creating a shortcut widget and setting it to data usage) and it no longer works in the current version. Is there an alternative to it ?

Still unable to use RCS. Is it working for you/has the fix been put out? The PR appears to be merged on GitHub. Is there a chance I need to unlock permissions for Google Play Store/Services in order for the update to be able to be obtained? Seems like a massive stretch, but checking just in case there's a reason why 'Checking for updates' states that my phone has the latest stable release, etc. Thanks in advance.

Hubriz The current Android 17 releases haven't reached stable yet. The fix for RCS is going to be included in an upcoming release that has not yet been pushed to alpha and beta.

It's arrived on the public Alpha and installed automatically OTA on my P10PXL and now I am on A17. All apps and OS appear to function as expected... will post if any issues found.

A minor thing I noticed on a fresh flash on a P8P - 202606201

Apps installed via app store and accrescent don't respect 'automatically add apps to home page' -- which is enabled by default.

Apps installed via Vanadium, Play Store, and F-Droid automatically add app icons to the home page.

I think VAULT is saying this version of GOS is in alpha -- and beta. They aren't talking about RCS. The RCS fix is in a later release not yet announced or finished.
I recall hearing there was a new version of GOS building today for every pixel phone. That should be in alpha soon and should reach stable in a few days or less I reckon.

Johnnyloans CORRECT; I was referring to the OP Title, ie GOS A17 has now arrived on the public (not any special test environment) Alpha Update Channel... hence "typical" GOS A16 users can update to A17 OTA, simply by selecting "alpha" rather than standard updates, should they so wish :)

Network > 3 dots at the top right > observe it says 'Show System' as if they aren't already shown. It should say hide system if it was showing all system apps.

Pushing show system reveals even more system apps.

WIFI Hotspot behaviour change / (regression?) observed with Android 17

-Multiple Users. Pixel 10 Pro 2026062200

Behaviour with Android 16: Hotspot could only be activated in the main Owner profile - no Hotspot settings nor Hotspot tile availabe in secondary profiles. Hotspot remained active while changing to other secondary users.

New behaviour with Android 17: Hotspot can now be activated in secondary profiles via Wifi settings, but Hotspot tile is still unavailable.

However, when changing from one profile to another, the hotspot is deactivated and must be reactivated in the now-active profile. This kills the connection for any devices using the hotspot, until it can be reactivated in the now-active user profile.

r_dac I normally enable and connect wifi in owners profile (admin use only, all apps installed buy not being used). So when i connect to another profile, it auto connects to my vpn.

The RCS fix is likely to be available by the end of this week. If, by the end of this week, your device doesn't install an update that improves RCS, asking again might be useful. But between now and the end of the week waiting is the thing to do. The RCS fix might show up in 12 hours, or 24, or 36, etc.; it isn't predictable because it's in testing and testing isn't predictable because sometimes testing reveals a genuine problem.

Now I see... That is indeed odd behaviour. No, I don't have such a device myself, (With the keypads and such) so I'm not much of use here.
Perhaps you can capture the external storage logs during the bug and send them to the developers? I guess you might find it at (Settings/Apps->All apps->show system/External Storage/View Logs->Save.) Not sure those logs will appear under that system app though...

FreeFrags22 01 version works good too. I have a question about new mobile data button in quick settings. Every time when I turn on mobile network I got prompt about possible costs of that network and have to click second time to enable it. I know that it is originally in AOSP but can GrapheneOS delete this prompt? It's really annoying to click this 2 times instead of 1 like on Motorola. Probably this will be ignored because graphene only add security things to OS and not modify the AOSP code that way. Thanks for answer if someone will reply.

r_dac It's supposed to be that way in Android 17. Wi-Fi is now largely split per-user and can have per-user networks saved. However, they made it disable Wi-Fi when switching users and then re-enable it after logging in if the user has Wi-Fi enabled. It's to enable users to have separate Wi-Fi settings. That's part of what comes with having the per-user settings. It's still possible to disable it and keep the old behavior but we chose to leave it be and use the standard behavior.

We heard your feedback about the mobile data toggle in Android 17, so we added an option to skip the warning that appears every time you try to turn on mobile data!

This option is available now in the latest Android 17 QPR Beta.

Seems like it will be corrected in AOSP itself.
