Live in Israel and want to switch to GOS

I live in Israel and have an old Samsung Note 10 that I want to replace and move away from Google with GOS. I was excited when they announced support for a new phone, but I am not sure how easy it will be to get a Motorola when they finally become available. I also dont know if I can wait the 6 months to a year or more until they become available. So, I wanted to get some ideas/advice and whether I should just get a Pixel now and if so should I get the 9 or 10. Any other experiences from those in Israel who use GOS would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you.

All carriers work fine. Don't get the Motorola, you won't find warranty for it since there is no official distributor.

I would get 9 or 10 based on lowest price per year until eol. Really doesn't matter too much.

I don't see what the county has to do besides banking apps which you can see compatibility for on privsec.Dev.

Pixel will be much more affordable than moto most likely. Pixels are great hardware.

If you're not concerned with price then get the latest.

If you intend to purchase a new pixel phone anyway then you can just install GOS and use it for 2 weeks or so and see how it is working for you. You can always go back to stock android on a pixel.

awkgrafina Thanks for the reply. Well, my sole purpose is to be able to run GOS. I am very anxious to get off of Google, plus my existing phone is on its last legs. Is the global version how I should go? They sell here American, European, Japanese and Globa.

Not sure I understand the question.. GrapheneOS runs only on pixel devices...

For any single country, the optimal choice depends on which model has the best match for your country's cellular allocations. For travel, maybe the global one is best? The Japan devices have a special ability to serve as payment devices for a particular Japanese public transit payment system.

I live in Israel as well and have been using Graphene here for years, I bought my pixel phones when I visited the US. I never had any problems with internet or cellular connections, I always get great speeds like everyone else.
Leumi bank, Bit, Paybox, Moovit, RavPass all work fine for me, but Leumi bank does require me to give sandboxed google play the phone permission to be able to sign in to the app, kinda weird, but it works.
I don't use any government apps on my phone besides for ארנק צהל which doesn't have a site and it works fine. For everything else I always use the website.
