Problems with Private Internet Access

I'm new to Graphene and whilst setting the phone up downloaded PIA VPN and logged in. After doing this the phone lost all connection on wifi (no sim in it yet) despite saying connected no app would connect including Vanadium. I rebooted but to no effect and tried my alternate SSID as I run a hardware VPN on a separate router but no change. I uninstalled PIA and rebooted again and everything worked. Any help would be appreciated. I've used PIA for many years. Have I done something wrong or not done something right? Thanks.

Hello, welcome.

I suspect you had PIA installed and not connected during your issues.

There is a toggle here to have usable internet with a new VPN disconnected
settings > network > vpn > gear icon > block connections without vpn
You may want to toggle always on vpn if you don't want that.

If you were connected to a VPN server, then find a fix with PIA

While connected to a VPN, it is recommended to have private DNS off under settings > network I believe

This is not particularly helpful to the posed question, but PIA has enough red flags to call its trustworthiness into question. I would not personally trust them if my threat model relied on VPN privacy
